Transform your yacht into a symphony of fine art in motion.

Marinas are the new floating art galleries, thanks to the Ramona Project and our vision of viewing art in places other than galleries.

The Ramona Project allows you to choose abstract art from a living Florida artist for all types of seagoing vessels. You can choose from the existing and ever-changing portfolio or commission a piece created to match your esthetic. Or you can reserve a personal visit which includes a private art consultation, a visit to your vessel and if requested, a meeting with your designer. Several custom art pieces will be created for you to choose from and the rights to the art are also available to protect your unique design from being duplicated. The consultation covers any branded merchandise options you would like for your personal guests or charters.

What is a vinyl boat wrap?

Boat wraps are vinyl sheets that adhere to the surface of your water vessel. They give a similar image to fresh paint but with more benefits and an economic cost. They are durable and built to last when you are ready to convert your boat to an art installation. Wrapped boats rent quicker to the social media crowd who like to have their photos taken in artful places.

What type of wraps are available?
Full- a full exterior wrap protects your entire hull. It functions like marine paint. This is where the fun comes in because you can add your logo designs on top of our existing artwork or commission your own. Partial-You don’t always have to cover your entire boat. You can cover just the hull or the superstructure itself.
How much does a custom boat wrap cost?

While the cost of custom marine painting tends to greatly outweigh that of other regular paint jobs, our wraps are technically custom and can cost anywhere from $15,000.00 upwards. The level of customization, as well as the size of the boat, will influence the price. We have a portfolio of artwork available, or you can fly the artist to your location for a custom piece or pieces to be created. The rights to the art can also be purchased so you can ensure your boat is unique and no one else will use that artwork.

How long does boat wrapping take?

In most cases, 2-3 days. For a more concise estimate, you can contact us here.

How long does vinyl film last on boats?

It can last up to 5 years, depending on the quality of the film and other actions such as storage out of the sun and aggressive operations. Most people wrap their boats every other year to two years, like a fashion change.

Can you remove vinyl wrap from a boat? If so, how?

Yes, vinyl can be removed from whatever it is applied to. Removing vinyl wrap from a boat does take a proper application to begin with and a commitment, though it can certainly be done. We are happy to remove your boat wrap for you, depending on the way it is installed. Many people will use a heat gun over the surface, allowing them to peel back the vinyl. Be careful in this process, as underheating will not allow the vinyl to come off and overheating will simply create a mess of vinyl, adhesive and work. Also, the higher quality of vinyl the more easily it can be removed. Be sure that the company you work with uses only top-notch vinyl as it will save you a headache and money in the long run. We are partnered with companies globally that only use the best materials in vinyl wrapping, so working with us guarantees a simpler process when you decide to swap out your existing wrap with a Ramona Project wrap.

What materials are boat wraps made of?

Boat wraps are made from a thin vinyl material commonly used in storefronts, cars, walls, storefronts and many other decorative purposes. There are specific vinyl film types that are specifically used to wrap a boat. Not all vinyl is created equal. We work with leading film manufacturers including 3M and Avery.

What are the advantages of boat wraps?
  1. Boosts resale value
Vinyl wrap maintains its life for resale. Vinyl resists scratches and light UV damage You can choose to take the wrap off for resale and restore your vessel to its original color if needed. Wraps act as a protectant to uphold the resale value of your hull, keeping it in pristine condition.
  2. Allows for complete customization
Customize your boat to match your personality, brand, passion and love of art. Add a signature twist on your vessel that no one else has.
  3. Allows for hassle free installation
One of the advantages is that it is temporary or as permanent as you want. If you are looking to change the color or design in a few years you can easily remove the vinyl and give your boat a different look.
  4. Increases durability
A vinyl wrapped vessel surpasses the durability of a paint job and has a lifespan that requires less effort and skill. If you have a tiny nick, it is easy to apply a bit of patchwork to get you back to the waves. Correct installation is key and that is why we work with globally trained 3M certified installers. Done well, vinyl can protect your vessel and remain durable with little upkeep.
  5. Costs less
Vinyl wrapping is more economical than painting. Avoid the high up-front costs of painting and rely on the long-term benefits and easy installation of a wrap.
  6. Minimizes environmental impact
The process of applying vinyl to your watercraft doesn’t involve harsh chemicals or solvents. Even when you need to buff your wrap, all you require is a bit of warm water and soap. Each aspect of film is safer for a marine location.

Paint jobs emit toxic fumes into the atmosphere, and if the paint chips off into the water, the environment can become contaminated.

  7. Expedites the installation process

In some instances, you can complete the entire job in the time it takes you to prep the vessel for painting.

  8. Requires minor maintenance

It is skilled maintenance that demands time, energy and money to kep a boat clean, painted rebuffed and polished.

It takes constant effort to keep a boat paint job clean, repainted, buffed and polished.

With vinyl film the only supplies you need are soap and water. Maintenance is quick and straightforward.

Some tips are: avoid sunlight when not in use. Rely on proper storage and use a gentle polish formula to buff up the boat.

Always make sure you use proper cleaning techniques, so you don’t compromise the wraps’ longevity.
